We read a statistic... Just a few years ago the country of Ethiopia had a population of 300,000 dogs. Sadly, two hundred thousand of them were strays.
We've never been to Ethiopia, but the beans in our coffee have!
And, for reasons that might be more hopeful than true, we imagine that by purchasing coffee beans from Ethiopia, we're helping some skinny dog, somewhere, get fed.
We have no idea if it's true, but one thing's for sure... the flavor of this chocolatey, fruity, sweet coffee with faint notes of buttery caramel stays true, cup after delicious cup.
